To be successful, you will need strong communication skills, a solid understanding of pharmaceutical products, and the drive to grow the pharmacy's customer base and revenue consistently.
Responsibilities
- Product Knowledge – Maintain thorough knowledge of Products, their uses, dosages, and side effects.
- Customer Service & Sales
- OTC Recommendations: Recommend non-prescription medications, vitamins, and health aids for minor ailments while knowing when to refer customers to a licensed pharmacist or doctor.
- Consultative Selling: Assist customers in finding specific products, explaining proper usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements.
- Customer Care: Address patient questions, handle complaints, and maintain a welcoming, professional environment. - Prescription Processing & Dispensing
- Prescription Intake: Receive and verify incoming prescription orders from patients.
- Filing & Packaging: Retrieve the correct medication, count or measure appropriate dosages, and label containers under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Order Delivery: Hand out completed prescriptions to patients and provide basic usage instructions. - Inventory & Stock Management
- Stock Replenishment: Monitor product inventory, identify expired or damaged medications, and restock shelves.
- Receiving Shipments: Unpack deliveries, check shipments for accuracy against invoices, and safely store medications in proper conditions (e.g., refrigeration).
- Price Tagging: Update shelf labels, ensure accurate pricing, and organize product displays. - Administration & Compliance
- Point of Sale (POS): Operate through the instructed POS, every sales must be done through the system!
- Privacy Compliance: Strict adherence to health privacy standards to ensure patient medical information remains confidential. - Store Maintenance
- Sanitation: Ensure the retail counter, shelving, and waiting areas are clean and sanitized.
- Safety: Avoid direct contact with customers, and wear mask when needed.
Must Have
- SSC Equivalent or Higher
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- General knowledge English
- Patience and good Communication Skill
- Previous Salesperson work Experience
Nice to have
- Experience in writing online content
- Additional languages
- Google Adwords experience
- Strong analytical skills
